pregnant_lady1The doctors see their antenatal patients during regular surgery appointments.  A community midwife runs antenatal clinics on Monday morning and Thursday afternoon at the surgery.  Midwife appointments are made at the surgery reception. Pregnant women can contact the midwife for advice at other times by telephoning 01438 314333 and asking for the midwives. 

Family Planning

The doctors offer advice on all aspects of family planning during normal surgery consultations.

Child Health

We encourage all children to be fully immunised.  The Practice Nurses run a child health & immunisation clinic on Monday and Thursday mornings. Routine examinations for child development are offered by the doctors and health visitors in line with local guidelines. 

GP Clinics for patients with long term conditions

We have GP led clinics which monitor the progress of patients with asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. We also have a Diabetes Specialist Nurse available to our diabetic patients.

Travel Vaccinations

Appointments for travel vaccinations should be made with the nurse at least 8 weeks before departure. The nurses will also be happy to discuss other travel requirements. Please see the above tab for more information.

A phlebotomist visits the surgery regularly to take blood samples. Appointments are made through the surgery reception.  Our practice nurses are also able to take blood samples, depending on their availability.
