Welcome to Orford Lodge Surgery
The practice is a long established partnership of five doctors offering a full range of primary care medical services at a newly refurbished and extended surgery in central Hitchin. We also have a salaried GP working as part of the team.
The practice area includes all of Hitchin and the villages of Charlton, Gosmore, Holwell, Ickleford, Langley, Offley, Pirton, Preston, St. Ippollyts, and the Wymondleys. Each patient has a doctor who is accountable for their care, which is the same doctor they are registered with.
The partners work closely with a full primary health care team of allied professionals including nurses and health visitors. This practice is part of the East and North Herts Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). Information about how the CCG uses and shares information about you can be found here: http://www.enhertsccg.nhs.uk/how-we-use-information-about-you-fair-processing-notice.
This surgery website is used to present all our patients with news and information about our practice. We will keep it current with any developments or other details that we feel are relevant to you. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site.
Should you need to see a doctor urgently during the out of hours period or Bank Holidays, please dial 111 for the NHS 111 service. Calls are free from both landlines and mobiles.
Alternatively, the Urgent Care Centre at the new QEII Hospital, Welwyn Garden City treats injuries and illnesses in children and adults and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Further information is available here.
